Hi, iam not very familiar with WindowsNT Workstation
and i need your help.
I have problems managing my desktop icons. At the begining
i had many shortcuts on my desktop and now i want to remove them all from my desktop.I delete the shortcuts but when i start my pc again i get all icons that was previously on my desktop.
Note : Iam working in a big company and i open with my user
different pc's, i don't have my own computer.
How can i manage my desktop so that not to get all those shortcuts that i don't need them?
Thank you

Depends on your the way your company has set up its domain and user policy. It sounds like either there is a policy set which prevents you updating your desktop (so any changes you make are discarded when you log off - so any shortcuts you deleted will be back next time you log on) or you're profile is a 'mandatory' one - which can't be changed at all - so again, any changes you made would be discarded at log off. You need to speak to your network support people - find out about the set up and if they can give you access you need (some companies like to tie everything down so employees can't change things at all). Good luck.

Thank you very much for your responce but there is no policy
to prevent any changes to my desktop. The problem is that i can add shortcuts to my desktop(if there was policy for no changes i coldn't add if iam correct) but now i want to delete some shortcuts.

When i delete some shortcuts my desktop may be clear from these shortcuts after 2 or 3 restarts, but suddently after restart i get all shortcuts back.Do yo have an idea about this problem.
Thank's again.
