WinME program uninstaller

Hi, I installed an old demo version of a game(Safari Biathlon). Some how the installation didnt complete i.e. my computer froze and i had to reboot. After booting up I ran scandisk as usual. Now, when I tried uninstalling the game, the Installshield tells me that some file(ending with a .isu, i think) is corrupted. How do I uninstall the game now? I have tried through both Add/Remove programs(CP) and the games 'Uninstall game' option.

Also, does anyone know of some good freeware software which will clean my registry i.e. remove obsolete values etc. And a good program uninstaller? I do have some programs in my add/remove list which I want to uninstall but I cant due to missing/corrupted files. I tried download.com but the tool that i got detected like 300+ anomalies in my registry but I had to register if it had to fix them.

Have you tried reinstalling the 'problem' apps, and then uninstalling again?

To do a proper uninstall you need an app that will monitor everything that gets installed (Norton's Cleansweep was an example - though not sure its still being sold). I've never seen a freeware one that works that well.

There are numerous registry cleaners - just google for them. My favourite is no longer freeware (

Yeah, I reinstalled the game and then uninstalled it without a problem.

I still havent found a freeware program to detect and clean my registry. All the shareware programs do is they just detect and not clean(or clean partially).
