Winlogon error

I have a computer running as a "member" domain contorller. Everything runs fine and then after one reboot a popup came on with and "winlogon.exe error" went to MS site and cannot find anything. Also from my workstation I cannot remote desktop into that server. The session comes on and ask you for authentication by after about 30 sec it turns back to the RD logon. any ideas.
