Wingdings on printouts

Wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes...

A few XP users in our office are experiencing some incorrect font substitutions when printing to a networked HP Laserjet 4000 TN. It happens with bullets printed from Internet Explorer (substitutes with clover-like symbol), and check marks in Word (substitutes with mouse-like wingding). It seems to only occur with XP users and only with this specific printer. They use Office 2000...

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You might look in the Properties for the printer and the Device Setting tab for Font Substitution Table, see if that list got messed up.
 
That tab/menu does not exist...
