I have formatted my new computer twice and it still doesn't solve my problem. Every time, execpt the first time I boot windows after a format, the system tray freezes, i think becasue of the power meter freezing. It never shows up and when I go to the control panel, then power, it says rundll32.exe has had an error or has frozen. Any ideas?

Maybe you should check with the Motherboard manufacturer and see if there is a bios update available.

Also if you have access to the machine after the fault has occured you could see what information is in the Event Viewer.

Look in the System or Application folder. You can get to the Event Viewer via right click My Computer icon and select Manage.

Any errors logged in the Event Viewer can be expanded by double clicking on the error line.

Take any error I.D. number and search for it on this site.

the problem you are having sounds alot like a RAM timing issue in the BIOS or the RAM is bad. you could have a problem with PCI card to slot orientation or video card issues but... this sounds like a RAM problem
