I had a couple of viruses in my computer that caused the video file to be corrupted and deleted. My dad proceded to just do an HP system restore, we have an HP Windows Xp computer. The problem is solved and everything works perfect, except for my MSN internet program.
well the problem that has just started happening since yesterday is that whenver I am online or in a word document for more that 15 mins or so a message pops up saying, Windows will not restart, RPC stopped running, caused by NTSystem or something of the sort. The message is obviously not popped up right now but if anyone has any idea on how to fix this problem please tell me. I will try and write down what the message says word for word next time it pops up, thanks.

Your restore has you missing all the Hotfixes and service packs since HP issued the disk, which is quite a few.

At the moment you are infected with the blaster or MSBLAST worm, as you did not have the security hotfix installed. Here are instructions on how to remove the worm, and update your security hotfix at least for the blaster issue.

You really need after this is sorted to spend some time at the Windows Update site.

Go to msconfig and see if you have a listing called "msblast". If so, you have the blaster worm. I did a reformat and reload a few weeks ago. All I did was connect to the internet and activate XP and viola! got the blaster worm and 2 other worms with it. Your computer is doing the same thing mine was.
