Windows XP Pro, stuck in powersave

I've seen this problem addressed before in these forums, the computer was left on all day, went into powersave mode, won't come out. I've attempted the following Troubleshooting efforts
1. Cut power, restart (obvious )
2. I've removed the motherboard battery to clear the CMOS, did not work.
3. I've popped another Powersupply in there (just to the motherboard) and when i turn on the computer i still hear no Bios beep, so i know its not starting up, any help is appreciated.
