We have a Server 2003 network with 8 PCs (mixture of Windows 2K and XP Pro).
We purchased 2 new Dell Dimension 5100 PCs (Win XP Pro SP2) as replacements for 2 PCs.
One PC went onto the network fine (accessing server drives, Exchange, internet, shared printers etc. etc). The other PC logs onto the domain, Exchange, shared printers etc but WILL NOT go onto the internet. Everything else works fine but the PC will not go onto the internet.
Moved this PC into the place of another working PC in case it was the network point but still the internet doesn't work.
Thinking it was the Dell software build, we re-formatted the hard drive and did a basic install of Win XP Pro (using Dell supplied software CDs). This was done off site and accessed the internet off site fine. When brought back to site we get the same result, access to the server fine but no internet.
We've changed computer names, used DHCP and static IP addresses but still no joy.
Please, any ideas?
