having problems with the paging file keep getting error that there was a problem with the paging file so windows automatically set it when tryint=g to fix it the only way the computer will not hang at the profiles screen is to turn the paging file off this will not let you play any games that are memory intensive

Have a read of this MSKB article and see if you can apply it to your problem with the paging file. What exact error are you getting anyway?

You Receive a "System Has Recovered from a Serious Error" Message After Every Restart (Q317277)

Read the whole article the bottom section has a workaround to either delete or recreate your paging file.

running norton firewall 2002 will cause a "virtual memory minimum too low" message,..........if this is the case set your paging file size to 1 gig, and it will stop that message,.......it is an issue with norton ....they are working on a fix
