Is there any way I can set logging in Windows XP for when a program starts or stops? I was thinking that there was a way to set event viewer for just about any process in XP but can not remember for certain. Basicaly I need a simple way to log somewhere with a time and date stamp when IE is started or stopped on a client machine. Thanks in advance.

What is available in Trace Logs in Computer Management?

Type compmgmt.msc in the Start Run box and then look at "Performance Logs and Alerts" and see if "Trace Logs" helps?

The settings there specifies whether data concerning the creation or termination of processes is included in the trace log.
