Hi Guys,

I have recently started working as IT Helpdesk, I have installed Windows XP using the same CD on 10 of our PCs and I have used thwe same key for all of them, but I did get 10 CDs (in other words one CD with each machine).

Now I would like to enter the ID for each CD in to each PC?

How do I go about and do that?

Kind Regards

Saqi

What type of CD are you using? All Retail XP PRO CD's are identical if the embedded Service Pack versions match. Are these OEM Recovery CD's? Master Image copies or what?

run sysprep on each pc, after reboot u have 2 aktivate xp with ur keys
(sysprep resets keys, sid .......)

I'm curious whether you used an image (Ghost, etc.) to install the PCs with "using the same CD" or if you did manual installations.

If you did use and image, the instructions above are correct, but.... If you did manual installations, why would you not have just used the different key codes during each install?? This would have saved you the hassle.
