Hi,
I have a workgroup of 10 computers.
7 windows98 computers, 2 windows2k professional computers, and 1 windowsXP computer.
They all have tcp/ip and netbios installed(including the xp computer). However the xp computer cant see one of the win2k computers and that win2k computer cant see the xp computer. These 2 computers can ping each others ipaddress but not their names.
Another interesting thing is that any other computer on the network can ping the problematic win2k computers ipaddress but will get a "unknown host" error message when pinging the win2k computer name. And the other win2k computer is doing fine on the network. Can anyone troubleshoot this problem?
Thanks for any help.
