Greets,

Here is the problem:
I have a shared network directory in Windows XP (all other computers on network use Windows XP). The problem first occured when I was using MDBTask to backup my database. The database was suddenly inaccessible via any of the networked computers, it would load up and say the path was invalid. I tried opening the database from within access 2000 and it said it was locked by an exclusive user, Which was not the case (there was no lockfile even).
The only way I was able to regain access to the file via the network was to move the database from it's current, create a new network directory then place the database file into that new directory.
But that is not the end, any time I copy the database or try to back it up, I lose access via the network. It's more then incovienent, it's troublesome for data protection.

A few stats:

I'm using Windows XP, Microsoft Access 2000 (with latest service pack update SP-2), and it is an mdb file (not mde). I've had no luck tracking it down and am not sure if it is a windows problem or an access problem.

The path to the file is
c:\csc_db\dblive\csc_db.mdb

Would appreciate any help. Thank you very much! - William ~^~ ~^~
