Windows XP 64x does not seem to have NetBeiu 2

How do I connect to my home network? The only thing I could think of was to try connecting FTP. So I downloaded WS_FTP demo and had them running on both PCs. But it doesn't seem to help. Am I missing something about FTP?

You will not see NETBUI, nor IPX/SPX, nor Appletalk.

Nor, do you need them. Use Netbios over TCP/IP.

And to scare you even more, I am not so convinced Netbios will survive in Longhorn.

Check any firewall settings that could interfere with File and Printer sharing.
