You probably know this already but I saw an old post where this would have helped. If you want to download all the patch's and critical updates for your network clients go to windows update and click "personalise windows update" on the next page you will see a check box that will display the link to the windows update catalog click this and follow the new link, now you can select any operating system and get access to all the updates available for that operating system you can download them into any folder that can be made available across the network.
