I have a Win2k server with SP3 loaded. The server is running sql2000 + DC. When I click on windows update to look for updates, it tells me that 'new windows update software required'. So I click on 'update now' to update, but it keeps telling me to reboot. The update screen doesn't even show the button saying 'Press to scan for update'. I must have rebooted 5 times already, still the same message. I only tried to uninstall IE6 SP1 and reinstalled it. I have checked my logs, and it doesn't tell me anything about windows update. Please help me. Any feed back is appreciated.

Thank you very much.
I deleted all the IE6 temp files, redid all the security setting in IE6, as instructed from the knowledge base. Now the windows update works great. Thanks again.
