Hi.

When trying to do a Windows update, I clicked on "Scan for updates". The message, "Windows Update is looking for available updates....0% Complete" appears and then hangs there.

I've tried Microsoft's suggestions of clearing cache, removing the installation files/folder, deleting temp files, cookies, etc with no luck.

Any suggestions on what to try next?

TIA for any and all help.

Hi all

Fixed it.

Open IE and went to Tools-Internet Options-Connections (tab)-clicked on "LAN Settings". Make sure "Detect Network Settings" is NOT checked. Close IE and try Update again.

Thanks anyway.
