As per suggestions in thread779-1427937 I am attempting to install windows SteadyState on the computers I manage in a school building. Unfortunately, SteadyState is a 32-bit only program and the systems I am managing are all XP-64bit.

Anybody have any ideas as to alternatives?

Thanks,
Robert Carpenter

See if it installs, 64bit can run 32bit applications?

Is 64 bit win XP pro backward compatble?

Yea, it wont install.

I think it is because it is a pretty low level service that it needs to be the same architecture as the kernel.

I couldn't get it to install in Vista 64bit either, perhaps you could look at similar type software to see if that works?
