Windows Setup requires 73 5

Does anyone have any idea what this means? I'm trying to install an OS on an empty machine, and I desperately need some assistance.

More details required. Like which OS and at what stage u r getting this error message.

Sorry. I'm trying to install Windows 98, and what I've done so far is fdisk, I've created a primary partition, and made it active. Then I reboot with the 98 cd in the drive, then it says that a scan is being done on the system registry. Then it sits there, and sits...

After a while, Windows Setup Requires 73 shows up, and the machine doesnt' do anything else.

Desperately need help!

Have u formated the drive or not. If not then try formating the drive before starting the setup.

I guess I'm not the sharpest tack in the box today! Thanks for your assistance. All I needed to do was format, now the installation is flying! Thanks again!
