Windows Server 2003 R2 setup problem

I am trying to test Windows Server 2003 R2.

I am testing on a Win2K3 std edition SP1 server - when I attempt to install R2, I get the following error message:
"Setup cannot continue because the operating system edition is different from the Setup edition"

Is this telling me that the R2 version they sent me is possibly for Win2K3 Enterprise edition (or at least not std edition) - The instructions don't say I need enterprise edition

Microsoft states that "Windows Server 2003 R2 beta software cannot be installed on anything other than trial software versions of Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1)".
