Hi guys, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum or not, but I have just set up a new logon script for my clients using WSH. I am using vbscript.

How can I change the path to special folders (i.e. MyDocuments, favorites) in a logon script to a users home directory on the server, or a shared network drive?

code and explainations would be much appreciated (I'm a n00b... I can't beleive I deleted that batch file )

You are better off NOT doing this in a logon script. Instead use the built in folder redirection in Group Policy.

Under User Configuration, Windows Settings, Folder Redirection. Right click My Documents and choose properties. You can then set the destination path.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks for that... I'm having trouble finding out where to enter a path for IE favorites to the users home folder...

Thanks

I beleive that is included in the "Application Data" redirection.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
