Windows Script Host errors

I have Windows XP Pro on my Pentium 4 PC. After logging in, I receive a few error messages, each in a dialog box with "Windows Script Host" in the title bar.

Each box will have information similar to the following:

Script: C:\Program Files\AdminTools\Userreg\XPLocLog.VBS
Line: 336
Char: 3
Error: Class doesn't support Automation: 'GetObject'
Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error

I can then click "OK" at the bottom and the box goes away. Can anyone explain this message and any action I should take? Thanks.

It is decidedly not standard to run such a Visual Basic script on logon.

Anti-virus scan;
AdAware scan;
and then SpyBot:

You can use MSCONFIG to look at your startup programs to see if there is something odd there.

This sounds like an administrative script put in by a domain admin. Did you get this as a hand me down from work?

This PC is part of a domain at work, but I start getting these errors even before I login.

Start, Run, MSCONFIG and look at your startup tab. There has to be a line with 'cscript' in it somewhere.

It sounds as if your machine is set to write a log file of when you turn on the machine and logon.

In msconfig, I see no line with cscript in it. I only occasionally get an WSH message before logging in, and it says:
Script: C:\Program Files\AdminTools\ResourceKit\pebkac.vbe
Line: 336
Char: 3
Error: Class doesn't support Automation: 'GetObject'
Code: 800A01AE
Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error

I haven't noted a pattern of when I am getting the above error, but the last time I got it it was before I logged in.

In additon, I receive a WSH message about the same as the one above, but the script line will be different, it will say c:\Program Files\AdminTools\Usereg\XPlocLog.vbs.

And usually, I get another WSH message that says the following:

Script: C:\temp\Hotfix-2003-05-12\upgrade.vbs
Line: 104
Char: 3
Error: The system cannot find the file specified
Source: null

Can you explain what is causing these errors and what need to be done to resolve them? Thanks for your help.
