Is there a way to know which applications are being run when you see all the processes in Task Manager. For example, I have one running called GMT.exe but I don't know what it is. I know I can do a search for each file and see what program folder it is in, but is there a way to do this through Task Manager itself???

Thanks.

There is nothing in task manager that displays what the actual file 'does', although it does provide a great deal of information about how it is running.
If you are unsure about what kind of programs are running in your registry, I would suggest looking them up and get an understanding for what is normal and what isn't.
If you want to be quicker than that, download Lavasoft Adaware and run it (make sure you 'check for updates' before running it) This will scan your whole system and let you know if there are adnormal processess running.
