I have a windows nt 4.0 domain call jas with a domain controller called jas-1. I recently setup a windows 2003 domain call mpc with a domain controller called mpc-1
Whenever I ping jas-1 from the win 2k3 domain, the address resolved to jas-1.jas.com. However, whenever I ping mpc-1 from the nt domain, it resolved to mpc-1.jas.com. I suspect that this is caused by the dns server but I cannot correct the problem.
Also, I am able to configure the trust from the windows 2003 server. However, whenever i try to setup the trusted domain on the windows nt server, the error message "cannot find the domain controller for this domain is obtained. The RestrictAnonymous value was set to 0 and the server restarted but this still occur.
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
