Hi,
I've had a search through the archives, but wanted to ask the question specifically, so apologies if similar questions have been asked before.
I've got a Windows 2000 server which is also the Data Collector for a Citrix Farm. It had faulty memory in it (2GB, 4 X 512MB) and we've replaced it with 4GB (2 X 2GB)
Trouble is, our OS is still showing only 2GB. Its not a huge problem, in that we've got the same as we had before, but obviously it'd be nice to use all 4GB. I've been looking around and have found there is a \3gb switch which can be added to the boot.ini, but that appears to be just for windows 2000 ADVANCED server.
The relevant line in the boot.ini is this:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Server" /fastdetect
Ideally, i just want to know what i can add to this line so a windows 2000 server will detect 4GB RAM.
Any info much appreciated, thanks for your help.
Chris
