I have been used to the regular MSN messenger service, and now I have got a new computer with windows XP on it, and the only thing available is something called Windows Messenger. I signed up to it and I accidently put in the wrond email address. And I can t figure out how to change it.

The next thing that I have is it says only instant message a person. I need to find out if Windows Messenger is capable of buddy chats with 5 or more people at the same time?

I tried to download the regular MSN messenger service, and it wont work on XP. Can anyone help.

thanks

Not sure about the email change, I'm not at an XP machine right now. Seems to me you change this the same way as MSN Messenger though: Tools|Options...

I use Windows Messenger for multiparty "chats" all the time, though I admit I haven't had as many as 5 in there at once yet.

Perhaps if you got a new NET Password you could fix it up that way. Your old Hotmail account is as good as a NET Password and if that was correct you should have no problems with addresses. To get users to join your conversation you just have to invite them to join via the tabs on the main convetrsation window. On the first messenger window when you are attemting to Sign In have a look under file and see what options are there. It should display your current email address there.
