Here's the scenario:

We just started up a radio station at our work. We are looking to stream the radio station over the internet. I have setup a publishing point on the server and installed the Windows Media encoder on a client computer in the Radio booth. The encoder is going to or suppose to stay running 24/7.

Itis my understanding that if the encoder gets closed out, the publishing point stops. Is there a way to automatically have the publishing point try to reconnect or start the point back up?

What I would like to happen is if the encoder stops communicating with the publishing point, the publishing point will automnatically try to setup connection again after so many seconds, and keep repeating this.

Thanks

Huh?

I'm thinking this was a joke, but it's Monday morning and 8:30 in the morning here, so I'm not totally awake.

Where are you located then :)

OK, back on topic. Does anyone know if this is possible?

*Bump*

I'd like to know if this is possible also.. I'm a newbie to Windows Media Service (just used it yesterday to broadcast a live webchat over several nicely load-balanced servers running Windows Media Service)
