Not sure in which forum to post this, so I'll post here, as Windows Medai Player came with my Windows XP.
When playing video files of any type from either hard drive or internet site, all plays well, except MPEG videos. Any file with an .MPG file extension will be EXTREMELY slow (like 1 frame every 2 seconds) until the entire video file has been played once, after which, it will play at a normal rate. I thought it was due to downloading from an internet location, but the issue also occurs when playing directly from the hard drive. All other file types (.AVI for example) do not have this problem.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause this, and how I may fix it?
