Greetings.
We have a computer here at home which is set up to automatically download updates to Windows XP Pro. This hotfix to Windows Media Player keeps appearing ("updates to your computer are ready to install..."). Clicking on the system tray icon to start the installation, the information window indicates this hotfix as being a critical update to the Windows Media Player. The process continues for several minutes and then the window announces that the hotfix has been successfully installed. However, even after a reboot, the icon appears again in the system tray indicating that this hotfix should be installed. It does not matter how many times I do the installation "successfully", the icon keeps reappearing. Have any of you seen this phenomenon before? Any suggestions? Thanks a lot. Steve
