Windows ME issue

Hello,

When the computer in loading, the monitors shows up with "Windows Me". Once that is done, the monitor goes black and stay as a black screen. The sound still works but you can't see anything. What could be causing this problem?

See if it works in Safe mode.
If it does, then it's possible that the monitor's refresh rate is set too high.
It can be reduced in Safe mode by opening Control Panel/Display/Settings/Advanced/Adapter, select a lower setting in the refresh rate box, click OK, click Yes to the warning, and click OK again.
