I am trying to use RADIUS authentication via an IAS server. The problem is that the client (Win XP laptop) states that the user does not have rights to login remotely but I have configured the dial-in permission in AD to allow. When I try to connect the IAS server grants permission (according to the event viewer) but still the client pc states that it doesn’t have rights.
When I checked the event viewer it stated that the IAS server used MS-CHAPv2 to authenticate the user and the FB was trying to use CHAP. I don’t know if this will make a difference but it seems that the IAS server is authenticating that connection but the FB is not registering it. If I disable MS-CHAPv2 on the IAS server the server states that a device tried to authenticate using an unsupported protocol.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
