Start Explorer.
If you have set any individual folder views these will be preserved if you do not at first:
Tools, Folder Options, View
Click to uncheck 'Remember each folder's view settings' in the lower selelction box first, and then 'Reset all folders'.
Configure any folder exactly how you want the view for all folders to be, including Details view, and then click Tools, Folder Options, View, and set for All Folders with the top box selection 'Apply to All Folders'.
