Windows Explorer - no Left Pane (Folders)

I have a Windows 2000 Advanced Server that has been up and running for about 3 years. Recently when opening Windows Explorer the left pane is blank. I can view the search, history, media, and favorites using the VIEW drop down list and then selecting one of the options from the ToolBar. I can not veiw the folders option.

There is no resource problem on this server.

Is there a registry setting that has been turned off? No sure, need some help.
