I am using NT4.0 and when i go into Windows explorer i no longer get the right hand column displaying all the files etc.. all i get is the left hand window taking up the whole screen... someone else here had the same problem and when they rebooted it came back to normal but i cannot get mine to do the same....

I can't remember how I fixed it, but I think I did so by double clicking on one of the side frames of the window... Then I was able to drag the centre bar back in place. [auto] MCSE NT4/W2K

Its a long shot, but maybe the window has been resized too big. Try setting the screen resolution higher and check if you can see any more of the window. If so, reduce the size.
Like I say, its a long shot...

well a second hard reboot fixed the problem ...

thanks for you input

I managed to simulate the fault and it was indeed that side frame had been extended to far to the right (not that i actually did this)
