Does 'Windows Dender' have a firewall ?

No, at least not that I am aware off. Some Antivurus software have a hidden firewalling component, and lately some newer nVidia nForce Network Adapters, apparently have firewalling components associated with them.

What is the reason for your question, is there something we can help further with?

Just bought and set up an Acer laptop with Vista Home Premium on it. Wanted to install a firewall but wasn't sure if Win Def had 1 already. Will therefore install a firewall. Thanks for the info.

Found 'Windows Firewall' on Vista Home Premium and turned it on.
