Windows Defender Beta 2 won't load

Running XP Pro SP2, with latest updates, AMD750 CPU with 256Mb RAM and oodles of HDD space.

Defender fails to run, says MSASCui.exe - Application Error (0x80000003).

Machine is completely clean, and exhibits no other problems of any kind.

Any clues please...?

Do the Updates include SP1 and the HotFixes for NET Framework?

Other than that, I could only suggest a Registry cleaning and a reinstalling of the application...

Thanks for ideas guys... Finally solved it by deleting the following file:-

C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe.manifest

Programme now loads and runs as normal.
