Windows Clean UP (Not responding)

When proceed the Windows Clean UP in Accessories, the process become not responding. Any idea how to fix it?

What files the program run? Is that the files had been corrupted?

Few things to try. First, put cd in then close any windows it loads. Go to start, run, type sfc and hit enter. Go through it and replace any files it says are corrupted or missing. Then restart.

If still doesnt work run scandisc and defrag. If that doesnt work then try these below.

Let say is not virus or worms issue. (Assume that PC is stand alone and not install Internet al all)

BUt still having same problems. Run SFC didn't detect anythings..

Let say the SFC fix and recover some files. But still the same problem. Then how?

Then it sounds like your hard drive is dying. How old/new is this hard drive?
