Windows 98 saving to 2k3

I don't know if I should ask this in 2k3 or in here. Here is my question. I have a win98 box that is trying to save a document on a 2k3 share. On the local computer it saves fine, and it saves to the server no problem when it first boots up. After say, an hour it tells me that it can not save to the share. It says out of memory or out of disk space. Then it asks me if I would like to retry save. I can't figure it out. I'm thinking perhaps a disconnect from the server? I don't know. Please advise!
