All of a sudden my Windows 98 clients cannot logon to to my 2003 Server. It has been working since its initial installtion. Is there anything I can check to resolve the Windows 98 logon to 2003 server problem?

Can you ping the server?
What is the error message you get or does the win98 client simply logon locally and then you can't access shares etc?

Try doing an ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew.

Try to add in the lmhost file (..w98 use it ?) the name and the ip of the dc in this form:

assume that your domain is called "truck" and one of the dc has the ip 192.168.1.9

the entry should be:

192.168.1.9 truck

I'm not sure that this will work, I forgot w9x, but you can try.

I found the problem. Apparently, my contract technician removed WINS from the server thinking we didn't need it.
