I am running active directory. I have a mesh of mostly windows 98 pc's some windows2000. I have some windows 98 boxes that come up with the "bad username or password" screen and that no domain controller was able to authenticate them... but yet I am able to physically map a drive to whereever on the active directory they need to go. These same people can't run the login scripts I put in their profiles. Any ideas?? aspvbwannab

You might want to check your dns entry on your win98 machines. Test DNS and make sure it is resolving correctly.

Had the same problem happen to me with win98 boxes. Fix is install Service Pack 3 on the active directory server
