Hi All

I am having real problems with Windows 95 clients. They all hang with one of 3 errors
odpwin9x not responding
Clisvc95 not responding
Licli95 not responding

We are running SMS 2.0 with SP3. All seems to be fine with NT & 2000 clients but not the 95 clients.

Any help on getting 95 working would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
marcus

Verify that the machines that are having the problems have the SP3 update. It was very common for Windows 95 machines to have the probelms you describe.

You can look in the Systems MAnagement -> Components to see the version.

I would remove and re-install the SMS client on a few machines to see if this helps. Joseph L. Poandl

You may also have to install DCOM 1.3 or IE5.0 or above(IE5/6 comes with DCOM)

Is this a permanent problem or is this just when installing the clients?

I had loads of problems when the remote tools installed (or should I say installing)

MS say that this is fixed in SP3 but swynk.com seem to disagree

(Sounds like you may well have a totally different problem though...)
