Windows 95 Logo hangs

Does anyone know how to correct Win95 logo hangs during bootup?

I have McAfee4.5 software installed but disabled possibly due to DAT files hanging. Can boot into SafeMode. Checked startup files and ok. I am trying bootup disk but any other suggestions?

Reinstalling OS should do it.

Try a step-by-step boot (one of options on menu you get when you want safe mode). You can then change which items to load (I'd suggest not loading one at a time) & see if you can isolate culprit.

Also, have you checked/disabled everything that starts with windows? is a good utility for this - should be able to install & run in safe mode.

reimaging is a good fix!
But I tried and I can not get to the exe file . page not found.
but nothing in startup file.
