I have a PC on my network that is giving problems with the display. Intranet pages are not displaying properly that are displaying fine on other PC's.

So I checked out the display settings. When I go to the settings tab the colours and the screen area are fine. However, it is set to large fonts. I tried to change this back to small fonts and it tells me that I have to restart for the changes to take place. So I reboot but the fonts are still set to large fonts.

Any ideas??

easiest to try first is;
In Display Properties > Appearance Tab - just choose a Standard Windows Scheme so it set's the font type that'll be able to display small ones....then change to small in the Settings > Advanced tab and restart.

If no go;
see if Active Desktop > "View as webpage" is ticked when you right click blank desktop area.

The sys adm may have set it so you can't alter the active desktop

You might want to reinstall the graphics card driver.

Or try changing the resolution (if you can!), then see if you can change font size - then change resolution back.

Is it early 95 (I seem to recall having more problems with display on that version than OSR2)?

The display fonts do not effect the IE font though if that is what your trying to change. If you want smaller fonts on IE, open IE and go to the view menu. Find text size and set it to a lower setting.
