windows 7 pro....will it work? 1

just wondering if you can use windows 7 pro to administer the ip office?

im trying to upgrade a 406v2 from 3.2.55 to 5.0.15. its saying the password is not right?????

i thought the password is/was.....password

I'd guess that someone has changed it then.

Probably when the system was upgraded to 3.2

try using the old system password.

i just reloaded the ip office as i had no ideal of what the control unit ip address was.

i would think that everything would be set to default????

Sometimes the password gets corrupted.
Seen it happen a couple of times.
Onlysolution is to DTE in to the unit and type:
AT-SECURITYRESETALL

And yes Windows 7 is supported but from 5.0.15 and not any version earlier.

i just connected the unit to a xp pro machine and it worked just fine???

im going to switch it back over to the windows 7 machine and see if i can do any programming changes.

i could make changes with the windows 7 machine after i upgraded to 5.0.15 using the XP machine through the DTE port. i tried to upgrade the expansion modules using the windows 7 machine, but could not. it keeps saying....invalid password. if i hook back up to the XP machine to upgrade the expansion modules, everything works just fine.

maybe its just me??? but it looks like you cant upgrade anything with the windows 7 pro machine????

has anyone else tried this???

It should not be a problem having it enabled but it works for you.
Try to find out why it does not work.
