My file/FTP server (educational lab network) WAS running Win XP pro, but we came up against that 10 connection limit.

We have since "upgraded" (read: fresh install) to Win Server 2003 Web edition, but We're STILL experiencing that 10 inbound connection limit.

Hostname and IP are the same, machine has been unjoined and rejoined to the AD (Win 2003 Forest root DC, Win 2000 child domain DC)

Would having sharepoints and/or FTP directories on a FAT32 partition be the cause?

Previous searches in otherwheres yielded results pertinent to NT 3.51 only.

/(help)

You say fresh install did that include a format?

Fat32 isn't recommended but shouldn't cause this problem.

Just found out that the C: partition was NOT reformatted as part of the Win Server 2003 installation process.

What might this mean?

Well it still shouldn't make a difference as far as i know, but it isn't really a fresh install if the partition wasn't formated. It may have hung onto a few settings it's unlikely but something to concider.

Thats all i can tell you really.
