Windows 2003 crashes with Adaptec 29320 drivers???

I'm running Windows 2003 server and getting intermittent crashes. The event log blames the source ADPU320 and I am getting event IDs 9 and 11.

I have used Server 2003's own drivers for the Adaptec 29320 controller and it is only running two IBM/Hitachi 36Gb u320 drives set up as basic - the second is used to backup a 4D database.
