Windows 2003 CAL Query 1

Hi

Bit new to Windows server licensing so just wondering if someone can kidly help with the following:

We have one file server (Domain Controller) which is the license server for the domain which has the the per user or per devie CAL's. I want to move the majority of shares (but not all) to a new Windows 2003 file server but what would I need to do to acheive this.

CALs are either issued to the clients / device or to the servers.

Your CALs have been issued to clients therfore you can move some shares to the new server without any problems.

Thanks for that information. So just to recap a license server issuing CAL's to clients can be used for shares across multiple Windows 2003 servers.
