Windows 2000/Windows ME dual-booting

I just created a dual-boot with Windows ME and Windows 2000, but I would like to have just Windows 2000 on my computer. Does anyone recommend this? Can most software including games run on 2000? I'm including older games like Civilization II and Starcraft. But will even the graphics-intensive games work? I heard from a friend that Unreal, for instance, runs fine in 2000. But will it run better in ME?

Also, if I keep the dual-boot and install an application like Microsoft Office in Windows ME, I might want to install it in Windows 2000 also. Will that create problems? I read that you can install the application to the same directory so that it just overwrites the directory, but then how do you uninstall the app from both OS's? Does anyone have advice/suggestions? Thank you.

My first suggestion would be to put them on separate paritions with partition magic.
That absolutely keeps them apart.
If you install a program under both OSs on a common partition then do it in custom install where you have control of the directory. Mixing will eventually get you in trouble.

I already have Windows 2000 and ME on separate partitions. I want to put the applications on another separate partition so it can be shared by both OS's. But the thing is, I have to install the application once in Windows 2000 so it goes into its registry, and then install in Windows ME so it goes into its registry. So essentially I'll be installing the application over the same directory. Is this safe?

Will leave this question to more experienced users. My comments were based on other dual boot issues. I keep MS out of the boot choices.
Suspect that you will find issues sharing an install directory. More likely you will be happiest with a common shared data directory. realize this requires dual installation and wasted space but there won't be any issues showing up with program upgrades and service pack installs.
