When I go to shutdown or restart my computer, it will not shut down(turn off or restart), it seems to be in a loop or something and after a couple of minutes I have to push the power button. I have a Dell L800r Dimension with 256K RAM. Any help?

Check the Event Viewer. It may shed some light on this.

Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer.

Check the Application Log and the System Log.

This may tell you what is happening.

Daniel.
