I am installing TS on a Win2K server and I was told that I have to add any printer driver the remote computers could use.
Some of those remote clients are Win XP and Win Me. When I try to add the additional drivers on the TS, I only can choose Win98, 95, NT4, etc, but not XP nor Me.
How can I do that?

Thank you,

Gustavo de Leon

Do you have Windows 2000 or Windows 2003?

Only Windows 2003 supports the printer redirection. If you want that with Win2K you need to load Citrix on top of it.

There is a workaround for Win2K, if your clients use IP printers you can create new standard IP Printer Ports on the TS Box and manually create printer connections to their printers.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Mark

Hi Mark,

The TS is on Windows 2000.
I don't understand very well what you mean, I have read that printer redirection is the default behaviour in W2k TS, isn't it?

Regards,

Gustavo

Printer redirection is supported when using the new RDP client.. Which is included in windows XP / Windows 2003...

And about those drivers...
The most good printer drivers are the same under Windows XP / 2000 / 2003....
So therefor you can't select additional drivers for Windows XP in the driver tab on the Windows 2000 TS....
